This article reminded me of my own internships, where I noticed how much supervisors emphasize communication and teamwork rather than just individual performance. I’ve learned that being supportive and transparent with others can be just as valuable as being efficient or ambitious. As I prepare to start my career after graduation, understanding these changing values helps me see how I can better meet the expectations of a typical organization by balancing professionalism with awareness.

Weber”s analysis immediately reminded me of the leadership frameworks including the design thinking model. The “emphasize” stage is familiar to the modern value shift Weber described by explaining that successful leaders must first understand the employees that they are leading. Unlike older leadership frameworks that focus on authority and control, both the design thinking and Weber’s study emphasize collaboration and moral sensitivity.

This change in managerial values also reflects how the modern workplace in changing today, suhc as increased focus on mental health, diversity, and overall employee well-being. Companies today are more aware of ethical reputation and social responsibilities which align with what Weber identifies. In a world where employees seek supportive work environment, the shift towards a compassionate and honest organization is necessary for success.
