The article titled “Guest Column: Needed: Leaders who inspire, listen”, talks about what makes a great, authentic leader. They say that an authentic leader is someone who honors people, provides meaning, listens, is open, builds trust, is vulnerable, acknowledges others, and provides a stake. I agree that all of these aspects are ones that would make a good authentic leader, as they ensure the leader will be ethical and lead with the companies, and its employees, best interest in mind.

Reading this article reminded me of the assignment we did earlier in the semester where we had to determine ethical leaders, and the assignment with ethical companies. In both of these assignments, I was looking for attributes and aspects of the company and/or leader that were very similar to the attributes described in this article.
